The NunatuKavut Community Council is soliciting Expressions of Interest regarding the supply and installation of approximately 75 high efficiency woodstoves in the following diesel dependent communities of NunatuKavut, Labrador:

Expanding high-efficiency wood stoves in Inuit communities of NunatuKavut represents a sustainable and culturally appropriate solution to help address heat insecurity and reduce dependence on diesel. By leveraging the success of the 2022 Black Tickle pilot project and implementing a strategic distribution plan, we aim to improve the well-being and resilience of the remaining diesel dependent communities across NunatuKavut.

In your Expression of Interest, please include:

  • Pricing for required inspections, supply, and installation of 75 EPA certified high efficiency woodstoves
  • Brief description of your company and key personnel
  • Availability to work with NCC staff in the communities to provide more detailed quotations (if necessary)
  • Description of training, education, and awareness initiatives that can be offered to recipients on safe operation of stoves

*Successful proponent will be responsible for shipping and all necessary tools and equipment for the project work. Please note that the shipping season is often affected by weather extremes and your proposal should consider contingency scheduling. All costs must be reflected in proposal including travel and accommodations. Proponents will be asked to provide education for the safe operation of stoves.
