Annual General Assembly 2026
Celebrating 40 Years!
Our Annual General Assemblies (AGA) bring our people, the Inuit of NunatuKavut, together to celebrate our achievements and successes over the past year, ensuring we are transparent and accountable to our people while seeking direction for the future.
This year’s AGA is the celebration of 40 years as a governing body, the culmination of incredible growth and progress at the NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC). We will look back over the past 40 years and reflect on both the opportunities and challenges our organization has faced. We will take stock of where we are and plan for the good things to come for our future generations. Our theme is Then. Now. Forever.
The AGA officially begins at 1:00 p.m. Atlantic time on February 27 and continues into February 28 at the College of the North Atlantic in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. For those unable to attend in-person, you can watch as an observer virtually through Zoom. The closing ceremony, sponsored by NDC Fisheries, will be held at the Lawrence O’Brien Centre. There are fabulous prizes to be won throughout the event.
As always, our AGA is open to full members of NCC, delegates and guests.
This is the official page of our AGA 2026. You will find all information about this historic event here. And if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us via our Facebook page.
