Join NCC’s Research, Education and Culture (REC) department for an upcoming community engagement session in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on July 2, 2024
NCC Head Office

200 Kelland Drive

Learn about the work happening in the REC department, provide your feedback, and help identify community priorities and areas of interest for future research.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE SESSIONS?

NCC staff will give a presentation to introduce and explain the work the department has been doing in and with communities. They will answer any questions you may have, and work with community members to identify key areas that they would like to see research focus on.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY “RESEARCH”?

Research can include everything from submitting histories about family and culture, to identifying places where people harvest their fish and country foods, to sharing concerns and priorities about issues such as energy or health services.

Past research projects and initiatives by the REC department can be found by visiting the REC department’s website page

DO I NEED TO BE A RESEARCHER OR EXPERT TO ATTEND?

No. This session is open to everyone! Community research is driven by and in cooperation with people in communities. You can attest to the things that matter most to you, your families and communities. You may know current gaps in information and stories and what is available or unavailable.

Come learn about what we do and help guide us on important work in the future. All are welcome!
