Are you an Indigenous Youth between the ages of 19-29 and interested in a career in policing or Justice?  If so, check out this opportunity! 

Highlights:  

  • Learn more about community engagement (crime prevention of youth) in Newfoundland and Labrador. 
  •  A 1-week training/orientation session at the RCMP HQ in St. John’s, NL (all expenses covered!)
  •  Additional 8 weeks of paid employment at your local RCMP Detachment. 
  • Rate of pay: $16.50/hour

Requirements: 

  • Member of NunatuKavut Community Council.
  • High School Graduate; between the ages of 19-29.
  • Cannot have a criminal record (a clear Certificate of Conduct is required. This will be requested later if successful).
  • Currently registered as a full-time student, and returning to full-time studies in the Fall of 2024. (Not a current student? Apply anyway – all applications will be reviewed and considered).
  • Must possess a valid Drivers License.

Pay Scale: $16.50/hour @ 40 hours per week for 9 weeks.
