Communal fishery meetings in progress throughout NunatuKavut

NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) is holding communal fishery meetings next week in communities in southern Labrador and Goose Bay. These meetings are to inform members of the previous seasons activities within the communal fishery, as well as outline any potential changes to the upcoming 2021 fishery.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there is limited space available for attendance.

May 20 – Labrador City
Begins 7:30 p.m. at the Northern Light Inn ~ COMPLETED

May 25 – Port Hope Simpson
3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Alexis Hotel 

May 25 – Charlottetown
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Town Office boardroom 

May 26 – St. Lewis
3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Paulo Ventures

May 26 – Mary’s Harbour
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Raymond C. Rumbolt Memorial Center multi-purpose room

May 27 – Cartwright
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  – LOCATION TBD

May 27 – Happy Valley-Goose Bay
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hotel North 2
