NCC contributes to Liz’s Walk 2022

President Russell (and his dog Barkley) was proud to join Guy Poole on the Burgeo highway today as part of Liz’s Walk and announce a $5,000 contribution from the NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC). Guy started Liz’s walk to raise awareness and money for diabetes research and to help find a cure. He walks in memory of his late wife, Elizabeth (Liz) Poole, who lost her life to complications from diabetes a number of years ago. This year, he’s covering roads in southwest Newfoundland. To follow his journey, check out Liz’s Walk 2022 on Facebook.

NCC has been a proud supporter of Liz’s Walk and Diabetes Canada since its inception and has dedicated financial and human resources every year since he began. We have provided approximately $30,000 in cash contributions since 2015.

WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO LIZ’S WALK?

50/50 tickets are being sold for $5 each with a potential maximum shared jackpot of $25,000; $12,500 for the winner and $12,500 Diabetes Association.
