NCC guardian staff receive special recognition from Department of Fisheries and Oceans

Some of NCC’s Aboriginal Fisheries Guardian Program employees were awarded with an Indigenous Engagement Programs Reconciliation Challenge Coins by Department of Fisheries and Oceans representatives today.

The coins were designed as gifts to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions towards Conservation and Protection’s Reconciliation efforts. First used by the military and first responders as a symbol of comradery and show appreciation to someone, Government agencies and civilian groups have since adopted this practice.

Congrats to all!
