NCC is hosting an event called “NunatuKavut Inuit and the Dog Team – A Long and Ongoing Tradition” on March 30, 2019 to celebrate and honour the husky dog, which holds a special place in the heart and stories of many NunatuKavut Inuit.

The event is taking place on the ice behind the Alexis Hotel in Port Hope Simpson, Labrador, in conjunction with the Eric Rumbolt Memorial Dog team race.

Starting at 9 am, this free event will include traditional games, children’s activities, prizes, a boil-up, photo display and story telling.

There is limited travel funding available, please contact Melita at mpaul@nunatukavut.ca for more information.
