NCC Offers Coastal Workshops on Birds and Conservation
Join NCC’s Environment and Natural Resources department and Edgewise Environmental for our upcoming coastal workshops! We will be visiting Cartwright, Charlottetown and Mary’s Harbour for presentations, activities and discussions about birds and conservation! There will be snacks, beverages and door prizes. All are welcome!

Cartwright Community Hub – September 26

Charlottetown Rec Centre – September 27

Mary’s Harbour Rec Centre – September 28

- Afternoon sessions will focus on coastal bird identification, life history and the conservation challenges they face. We’ll also offer hands-on training on how to conduct shoreline surveys for coastal birds, which will help us all to be better prepared in case of emergencies, such as oil spills.
- The evening sessions on wind power have been CANCELLED. We are now hosting Wildlife Trivia with NCCs Wildlife Biologist, Sara Pearce-Meijerink! This is a family-friendly event for communities to have some fun and test their knowledge of topics such as “Birds of Southern Labrador.
