NCC receives $1.6M for clean energy projects in NunatuKavut
On June 1, 2022, NCC was proud to be part of an announcement by Natural Resources Canada in Ottawa that invests $1.6 million for three energy projects in St. Lewis and Black Tickle. This is part of Impact Canada’s Indigenous Off-Diesel Initiative and is the third year that NCC is a recipient of this funding.
These projects include implementing a Home Energy Retrofit Program, a High Efficiency Woodstove Program, and advancing two solar pilot projects in participating communities. The work is being led by Siobhan Slade, our Clean Energy Champion, in our Research, Education and Culture dept.
