Request for Proposals (RFP): General Contractor Services in Port Hope Simpson

The NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) is inviting proposals from the private sector to install weeping tile around the existing office structure in Port Hope Simpson, Labrador (please see current photo in Appendix A below). The successful contractor will be responsible for all tools, materials, equipment, and labour related to the completion of this project as outlined in this RFP & Scope of Work. The successful contractor will also work with the Project Manager to complete required work for this project.
If interested, please contact Donna Carroll at dcarroll@nunatukavut.ca to request the tender proposal package required for application. Submissions must be received by 4:00 p.m. AST August 11, 2023. All proposals will be reviewed by NCC with the successful contractor being notified by August 15, 2023, with project works to start shortly thereafter.
GUIDELINES
- Preference may be given to contractors registered with the NunatuKavut Business Centre.
- The contractor will be asked to participate in a project briefing, provide updates to the Project Manager, and provide a final site visit with the Project Manager.
- Must have Certificate of Recognition (COR) for construction workplace safety.
- The contractor must follow any public health directives related to COVID-19 pandemic in place when the contracted work begins.

SCOPE OF WORK
INITIAL SITE VISIT OF PROPERTY.
IMPLEMENT CONSTRUCTION PLAN IN CONSULTATION WITH PROJECT MANAGER.
ENSURE FINAL CONSTRUCTION COMPLIES WITH SUFFICIENT DRAINAGE REQUIREMENTS.
FINAL INSPECTION OF WORK COMPLETED.
