The NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) is seeking three NunatuKavut members to be part of a new Citizenship Review Committee to review and approve or reject applications for citizenship received by NCC. It is a two-year term.
NCC anticipates having the committee in place in April 2024.
Citizenship Review Committee Criteria
- Must be a Citizen of NunatuKavut (Full Member-Resident);
- Must be able to speak to community belonging and connection in their area;
- Must be able to attend regular virtual meetings with the Committee as a whole; and
- Must be flexible to meet during daytime business hours as needed
Please note that NCC staff or Governing Councillors are not eligible to sit on the committee.
Meeting Information
Meetings will be held virtually. Frequency will be determined by the Citizenship Committee Chair.
NCC can assist with technology requirements to ensure that committee members have access to virtual meeting software and Internet.
Compensation will be provided for meeting attendance.
