The NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) to assist in strengthening our capacity to prevent and address Gender-based Violence (GBV) against women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, with a strong focus on community health and wellness.
The committee will give NunatuKavut Inuit an important voice around violence against Indigenous girls, women, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people. It will provide advice to NCC on GBV issues, priorities and gaps, to help shape an advocacy strategy that advances community wellness in a holistic and gender-diverse approach. The committee is anticipated to start in April, 2024 and committee member terms will run for one year, with a possibility of extension.
