Project Description

The Town of Cartwright, with support from the Sandwich Bay 50+ Club, Sandwich Bay Community Hub, and the NunatuKavut Community Council, is looking to commission a site-specific mural to be painted on an exterior wall of the Marion Centre at 3A Low Road. The mural will be between 12 and 16 feet in width by 8 feet in height. While there is no specific theme, the mural should reflect youth and Elders, NunatuKavut Inuit culture and community spirit.

Compensation

The selected artist will be paid artist fees of up to $10,000 (including HST) for all design and creation. Additional fees for artist travel expenses not living in the community will be provided. The Paint Shop will provide up to $300 worth of paints for this project.
