The Educational Support Program is being re-introduced by the NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. It is a continuing program designed to support students with unexpected expenses if additional resources were required, such as technology or increased connectivity.
FUNDING ELIGIBILITY
Eligible applicants must be a current NCC member enrolled in primary/elementary (Grades K-6), secondary (Grades 7-12) or post-secondary (College or University) schools in Canada.
VOUCHER AMOUNTS
- Primary/Elementary and Secondary Students can access a one-time voucher up to a maximum of $200.
- Post-Secondary Students can access a one-time voucher up to a maximum of $500.
ELIGIBLE COSTS
The voucher must be used for expenses relating to technology (hardware/software) and/or connectivity (internet/data) for the 2021-2022 school year. Costs will be reimbursed from September 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 with a valid proof of purchase (i.e. receipt) until funding for this program is exhausted. Eligible costs include:
- Internet/Data Plan
- Software Programs (Adobe, Microsoft, Etc.)
- Computer/Laptop
- Tablet/iPad
- Headset or headphones
- Webcam
- Printer/Ink
- Tutoring Supports
