The NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) is accepting applications for the position of Project Manager, located in NunatuKavut territory. The successful applicant, as overseen by the Director of Health and Community Services, will guide the design, development and implementation of a module-based program to promote healthy relationships. This position is full-time to the end of March 2027.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the holistic well-being of the communities across NunatuKavut, supporting the healing and resilience of Inuit communities affected by colonial and intergenerational trauma.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Guide project design of an evidence- and culturally informed program/project to promote healthy relationships.
- Provide project management and leadership by overseeing project processes, including planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation.
- Support and organize the co-development of program modules, content, and facilitator materials in collaboration with advisors and partners.
- Ensure all program materials are accessible, culturally appropriate, and aligned with project goals.
- Lead the coordination and logistics of all project activities in collaboration with the Director of Health and Community Services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key partners in healthcare, community outreach, and research.
- Recruit, support, and coordinate the project advisory committee.
- Assist with the development and implementation of evaluation tools to assess learning outcomes and program impact.
- Assist with financial planning, budget preparation and reporting (monthly or quarterly) as required.
- Other related duties, as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Understanding of Indigenous, Inuit, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ experiences, especially regarding trauma, wellness, and violence prevention.
- Deep knowledge of NunatuKavut Inuit history, culture and way of life, and awareness of diverse health issues across the North.
- Experience in project management, including resource management ie financial, administrative and human resources.
- Demonstrated experience in building partnerships with community members and service providers – must be able to collaborate and facilitate understanding across diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
- Experience developing educational content is an asset.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Completion of post-secondary education in community health, social work, education, Indigenous studies, project management, or a related field; a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- PMP or CAPM an asset.
Salary: $72,000 – $88,000 (Depending on qualifications).
Preference will be given to qualified members of NunatuKavut Community Council.
Working Conditions
- Must be available to travel as needed.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Some evening and weekend work may be required to accommodate community schedules.
