Learn how to build a Komatik while connecting with kin and culture! NCC is pleased to team up with experienced Komatik builder, Darin Dyson, to offer this traditional skill for men and boys in the Upper Lake Melville area. This workshop is part of our Indigenous Land Based Wellness programming.

Together, participants, young and old, will build a beautiful Labrador Komatik. Construction will take place three evenings a week for two weeks in December. No experience necessary. It is free of cost and supplies are provided.

The completed Komatik will go in a raffle during NCC’s Annual General Assembly in February.
