NCC’s Returning Officer will be accepting nominations for the following positions from 8:00 a.m. AST on October 4, 2024 to 8:00 p.m. AST on October 17, 2024:
- President
- Youth Representative
- Area Councillors
Please note the following:
- Candidates must be Full Members of the NunatuKavut Community Council
- Nomination forms can be picked up from the Returning Officer at 49 B Grenfell Street, Happy Valley Goose Bay or requested by phone at 709-896-4011 or by email at elections@nunatukavut.ca. Regular business hours are 8:00 AM AST to 4:30 PM AST.
- Nominations can only be received by the Returning Officer at 49 B Grenfell Street during regular business hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM AST. (and until 8:00 PM AST on October 17, 2024)
- Candidates can return signed nomination papers by hand delivery, email (after being scanned) or fax.
- Candidates can obtain a voters list for their area once nominations are closed. They must sign a release form indicating the list will be returned to the Returning Officer within 10 days after the election results are announced
The list of candidates will be posted within two business days of the close of nominations on October 17, 2024.
